The NOPD is investigating a homicide reported today (May 28, 2025) in the 3300 block of Napoleon Avenue, in the Second District.
At about 5:27 p.m., NOPD Second District officers responded to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male gunshot wound victim inside of a residence. The victim was declared deceased on scene.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
